Aparados da Serra & Serra Geral - Brazil

Destinations

Description

The Aparados da Serra and Serra Geral Parks are beautiful National Parks located in the South of Brasil. The area is formed by enormous canyons, forming deep valleys -as big as 9 km long, 1,5 km wide and 900 meters deep. The proximity with the ocean makes a thick fog common . The parks are practically untouched, vegetation is preserved and more than 150 species of birds inhabit the area. The area is one of the main centres of Eco-tourism in the South of Brasil and has been attracting both the hard core adventurer looking for a challenge and the nature lover seeking a peaceful place and beautiful views.

Rural Tourism

Not too far from the parks, there are many traditional farms set in the heart of the Hills of Southern Brazil. Some of them are prepared to receive tourists, who have the opportunity to experience the day to day life on a farm. With easy access by road and undulating hills to the horizon it is the perfect place to do as much or as little as you like. Along with the beautiful surroundings, you will have many outings and delicious traditional meals (all made on the farms).
