Destinations - Jericoacoara
Description Jericoacoara is located in the Northeast of Brazil, in Ceará state, about 300 km from Fortaleza. Until the mid eighties it was only a small fishing village, lost among the dunes and isolated of the civilization. After tourism started, the fame of Jeri, as it is known, has crossed oceans, and it has been chosen as one of the 10 best beaches in the world. But still, the last 15 km arriving there are of soft sand, only possible to cross with 4 X 4 vehicles. Nowadays, there is electricity, but only in the houses. The streets are still iluminated by the stars and the moon. Jeri has a peaceful, laid-back atmosphere. It's a great place to be in touch with nature, to practice adventure sports and to feel in paradise. More info....... Activities On the dunes you can walk, horseride, sandboard or go on a buggy-ride to explore the many locations close by. Relaxing on the beaches, watersports such as windsurf (it's one of the best places in Brazil for windsurfing), kitesurf and boat trips. At night, apart from watching the incredible sunset from "Sunset Dune", you can enjoy the amazing starry sky and the nightlife.
