ITINERARY

Day 1 – Palmas Airport

Arrival in the Airport of Palmas and transfer to hotel. Rest of day free.

Meals Included: none

Day 2 – Palmas / Jalapão

After breakfast, start of the trip to Jalapão, in an adapted 4x4 vehicle. The trip lasts about 6 hours (including stop for lunch). The vehicle has confortable seats, panoramic windows and view points from the roof, for the appreciation of the landscape in the way or to get that special picture. On the way, stop at the Suçuapara Canyon, for a little refreshing swim in the waters that run through the canyon.

Arrival and accommodation at the tents in the Safari Camp. The tents are for 2 people, with individual beds, with all confort from a Luxury Camp. Chemical bathrooms, warm showers (solar heated), kitchen with tables and chairs and hammocks complete the camping.

Meals Included: breakfast (in Palmas), lunch (on the way) and dinner. 

Day 3 - Jalapão

After breakfast, beautiful trek around Novo Rio (6 km). Stop to swim on a river beach. In the afternoon, walk to the Dunes. Formed by quartzo sand of gold color, the dunes are surrounded by huge " chapadões".

Day 4 – Jalapão

After breakfast, trip to Poço do Fervedouro,something like the "Boiling Hole", a spring surrounded by banana trees, with a sandy bottom. Due to the pressure of the water arising from the bottom, it´s impossible to sink and you have the sensation that you are floating on the waters, while standing up. Fantastic sensation!

We will also visit the Cachoeira da Formiga, the "Ant´s Waterfall". This small fall has a natural pool of crystal clear waters of emerald color.

Day 5 –Jalapão

After breakfast, canoe trip down the Novo River. This river is one of the last ones with drinkable water in the world. It´s sandy bottom forms beautiful beaches on the margins of this river of crystal clear and pure waters. In the afternoon, trip to the Mirante da Serra, the " Serra Look-out", to have a panoramic view from the Jalapão area.

Day 6 – Jalapão / Palmas

After breakfast, trip back to Palmas. On the way, stop at the Cachoeira da Velha "Old Woman´s Waterfall", with a beautiful 20 meters fall. Arrival to the hotel in Palmas.

Meals Included: breakfast and lunch.           

Day 7 – Palmas

Day free and airport transfer.

Meals included in the program are detailed in the following chart.

Accommodation:

Double rooms can have separate beds or not. A third person depending on the hotel has the possibility of using a sofa bed. Consult for children policy.  

Payment:

Deposit of 30% to guarantee your reservation. The remaining amount must be paid a minimum 30 days before start of the tour. If reservation is made within 30 days of the tour full payment required to make a reservation.   

Cancellation:

Up to 30 days before full refund is given unless the flight tickets have been emitted. In this case there will be a penalty due to the cancellation of the tickets. This depends on the rules of the airline used.  No refund is given when a cancellation is made within 30 days of departure.  

Operation of tour:

Minimum of 1 pax to operate. 

Responsability:

Brasil Travel / Melchior & Hodson Ltda and/or agencies involved with the packages, flights and tours shall act only as agents of the tour members in making arrangements for hotels and any other services and do not assume any liability what so ever for any injury, damage, death, loss, accident or delay to persons or property due to an act of God, default by any hotel, company or person rendering any of services included on the tours or flights. Furthermore, no responsability is accepted for quarentine, government restrains, weather or other causes beyond control. No responsability is accepted for any additional expenses, omissions, delays, re-routing or acts of government authority.
